Reflections on the Meaning of National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day at Plug Power

Plug Power is excited to be celebrating National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day on October 8! In reality, every day is hydrogen and fuel cell day at our company!

We are tremendously appreciative of the ever-increasing number of customers who have been successfully adopting Plug Power’s efficiency-enhancing, emissions-reducing hydrogen and fuel cell solutions.

But today, I’d like to pause to recognize the men and women behind the curtain who make it all possible – our dedicated, spirited and talented Plug Power employees.

Members of our Plug Power team all share the same drive to grow our business and transform our industry. We have more than 300 employees spread out over 5 countries, 30 states and 3 offices. And, we celebrate that twenty percent of our workforce has been with us for more than five years.

These employees bring professional expertise to sales, service, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, finance, legal, supply chain, project management, operations, IT, and human resources – to name a few. And, with this talent, we are leading the charge to produce and implement commercially-viable fuel cell solutions and globally-available hydrogen fueling networks.

I’m proud to represent this group of trail-blazers, risk-takers and innovators, at heart. The desire to make a difference in the world is baked into our DNA. At the core of everything we do is an unrelenting spirit and drive to not only continue to meet our customers’ needs at every turn, but also to exceed them. Most importantly, we share an unyielding desire to build something that will change the way the world moves.

On this very first National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, I congratulate the industry, and commend the persistence, hard work and determination of the Plug Power force that has made it all possible.
