How does GenCore® work?
GenCore is a fuel cell system that converts hydrogen into electricity through an electrochemical process that produces no emissions.
How much fuel does GenCore need?
GenCore systems are fueled by hydrogen. Like a generator, they can continue to provide power as long as fuel is supplied. At
peak efficiency, systems operate above 45% fuel efficiency. A 5kW GenCore system at full power will consume about one cylinder
(265 cubic feet at 2,400 psi) in two hours.
Where are GenCore fuel cell systems manufactured?
GenCore systems are manufactured at Plug Power’s manufacturing facility in Latham, NY. This facility opened in February 2000 and
is comprised of 50,000 square feet of production and test facilities.
How is GenCore installed and maintained?
Plug Power has an external network of highly trained installation and service providers.
