Joe Millington joined Plug Power as Vice President of Human Resources in July
2006. Mr. Millington leads the organization in the areas of human resource
strategy, organizational development, employee relations, staffing, benefits
administration, compensation and training for more than 300 Plug Power
employees worldwide. Mr. Millington is also responsible for environmental
health and safety function for the Company.
Prior to joining Plug Power, Mr. Millington served as Vice President of Human
Resources at Acterna Corporation. Mr. Millington was responsible for
championing the organization through five acquisitions, two divestitures and a
complete functional integration process during which time the company
experienced exponential growth. Mr. Millington has more than 20 years of
global human resources and organizational development experience with
Hewlett-Packard, Quantum Corporation and Acterna Corporation.
Mr. Millington is a member of the Board of Directors for the Brant Lake
Foundation. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of
Business at Siena College. He has been a guest lecturer at Siena College and Case
Western University, and he sponsors an annual three-day “Learning Event”
specializing in organizational transformation work. He received a Bachelor of
Arts Degree from Siena College and a Masters of Education Degree from
University of Vermont.
