Reid Hislop

As vice president of marketing and investor relations, Hislop brings over 20 years of technology marketing experience and a long history of developing successful and innovative marketing programs to his role.
For Plug Power, he leads the company’s marketing communications and investor relations teams, working directly with Plug Power’s executive team to grow and strengthen the company’s overall market position, vision and awareness in the alternative energy economy.
Prior to joining Plug Power, Hislop was vice president of global marketing for Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI). PBBI was the business unit created shortly after MapInfo was acquired by Pitney Bowes in 2007. Prior to the acquisition, Hislop served as the vice president of marketing for MapInfo, where he led the company’s global marketing team, directed the company’s branding efforts and helped create MapInfo’s leadership role in the Location Intelligence category.
Prior to joining MapInfo, Hislop served as vice president of corporate marketing at McData Corporation, where he spearheaded global public relations and marketing communications activities and increased market share with the launch of new global branding, market positioning and messaging. Prior to this, he served as vice president of marketing for eSoft, Inc., an internet security solutions provider. Hislop holds a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta (Canada).
